Barrett G. Dye brings a bold and energetic approach to legal advocacy, combining a strong academic background with a deep commitment to justice and public service. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Central Oklahoma, followed by his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
Immediately after law school, Barrett moved to the panhandle of Texas and ran for elected office. Upon his election, he was believed to be the youngest elected felony prosecutor in the State of Texas at that time—a testament to his drive, integrity, and dedication to the law.
Barrett’s practice is fueled by his relentless pursuit of positive results and his attention to client service. As an avid aviator, he has integrated his love for flying into his legal work, using it as a powerful tool to provide responsive and aggressive legal representation across the entire state of Texas. His ability to travel quickly and efficiently allows him to be wherever his clients need him—when they need him most.
Outside of the courtroom, Barrett enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. His hobbies include hunting, fly fishing, and a wide range of outdoor pursuits that reflect his adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature.

Jonathan Enright
Jonathan Enright is a seasoned trial attorney with over a decade of experience representing businesses and individuals. Known for his strategic insight, Jonathan has built a reputation as a trusted advocate both in and out of the courtroom.
Jonathan studied Architecture before moving on to Political Science and then law school.
He is married and has two young children.

Stephanie Moreno
Hon. Stephanie Moreno previously served as Bee County Judge and President to the South Texas Judges & Commissioners Association. She also worked for the Texas Oil & Gas Association as Executive Director of the South Texas Energy & Economic Development Roundtable. Prior to her appointment to county judge, Moreno was an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of General Counsel to the Child Support Division under Gov. Greg Abbott.
Judge Moreno works as of counsel and advises the firm on family law, criminal defense, and personal injury cases.
Moreno completed her doctorate of Juris Prudence in 2011 at Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she was awarded the Ascending Alumni Award. Among her many roles, she has served as a Board Trustee to the Beeville Independent School District and was appointed as a Board member to the Texas Juvenile Justice Board as an appointee of Governor Abbott. Stephanie is married to Brandon Moreno and they have two sons, Joshua & Caleb.
Kevin Willhelm
With more than three decades of legal experience across a broad range of practice areas, Attorney Kevin Willhelm brings a depth of insight and a client-first mindset to Barrett Legal, PLLC.
Kevin began his legal career in 1992 as an insurance defense litigator, where he represented individuals and corporations in complex, high-stakes cases — including catastrophic vehicle accidents and toxic exposure claims related to nuclear power facilities.Early in his career, Kevin shifted his focus to consumer bankruptcy, joining the largest bankruptcy law firm in San Antonio. There, he quickly distinguished himself, becoming one of the youngest attorneys in Texas to achieve Board Certification in Consumer Bankruptcy Law.
In 1999, Kevin relocated to Abilene, where he led the regional office of Monte J. White & Associates. He later co-founded the Law Offices of Weir & Willhelm, P.C., expanding his practice to serve clients across West Texas in a wide range of matters. His clients have consistently valued his honesty, persistence, and ability to deliver results when it matters most.
In Criminal Defense, Kevin has defended successfully many clients in both Federal and State high-stakes felony cases.
Now a key member of the Barrett Legal team, Kevin continues to fight for Texans in both civil and criminal courts. His practice spans criminal defense, family law, bankruptcy, probate, and general civil litigation — all rooted in a deep commitment to protecting the rights and futures of everyday people.

Chris Solis
Chris was born and raised in the rural Big Bend country of West Texas where he dreamed of joining the Marine Corps and serving his country. After graduating high school, Chris attended the University of Notre Dame where he studied electrical engineering. In 2003, Chris graduated from Marine Corps Officer Candidate School and was commissioned a 2 nd Lieutenant in 2004. After multiple deployments, Chris left active duty at the rank of Captain to attend law school at the University of New Mexico where he interned with the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office. For nearly a decade Chris served his community as a prosecutor, first as an Assistant District Attorney in New Mexico and later as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of New Mexico. Seeking an opportunity to return to Texas, Chris left government service after nearly two decades to serve clients that find themselves in need of help by using the skills he developed as a prosecutor.
Todd A. Hunter
Todd Hunter Jr., a trial lawyer from Corpus Christi, Texas, advocates for victims in personal injury cases, focusing on oilfield accidents, collisions, and unsafe working conditions. He holds a finance degree from Texas A&M University and graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2013. Since then, he has dedicated his career to litigation, earning a reputation for winning cases against powerful opponents and securing significant compensation for injured workers. Outside the courtroom, Hunter actively contributes to his community, aiming to improve safety for Texas families.

Todd A. Hunter Jr. serves as Of Counsel to Barrett Legal. In this capacity, he provides legal services only in matters where he is specifically identified as counsel in a written client agreement. Mr. Hunter does not have access to all of Barrett Legal’s client files and is not involved in any cases or legal matters unless explicitly retained through a formal engagement. He is independent from cases in which he is not named in a client contract.
This designation as Of Counsel does not create a general attorney-client relationship with all of Barrett Legal’s clients, and Mr. Hunter’s involvement is strictly limited to the matters where he is contractually engaged.
